Chinese pork prices soar over 70 percent recently

Lately, the price of pork in the Chinese market has soared over 70 percent, which is said to be the result of the increase of CPI increase and the Chinese currency appreciation. In this situation, the wholesalers are reluctant to deskin the pork in the slaughterhouse. Instead, they would rather sell the pork together with the skin, which would be more profitable than be used for pig leather. 

According to some statistics, the pork price ever went down early 2006, and the slaughter killed their sows in order to reduce the quantity of pigs to be raised.
